ADP The Area Development Partnership is dedicated to improving the quality of life for citizens of the Greater Hattiesburg Area through community and economic development. Forrest County Courthouse Forrest County is a strong, vibrant urban county and a leader in the state, both economically and culturally, with a unique and enviable quality of life for approximately 73,000 citizens. Click the courthouse and take a look.

 


HattiesburgThe City of Hattiesburg is strategically located in the Southeast section of the state and is called the "Hub City". This strategic location has allowed Hattiesburg to develop as the educational, retail, and medical center for more than a quarter of a million people who live in the region. Historic Light Hattiesburg was founded in the late 1800's as a railroad junction in the yellow pine forests of south Mississippi. By the turn of the century, the small town of Hattiesburg had emerged as a bustling and vibrant "Hub City" for an entire region. The Historic Downtown Association works to preserve the historic heritage of Downtown Hattiesburg. Click the lamp and take a look.

 


USM Excellent institutions of higher learning provide a strong educational and cultural support system for the community. The University of Southern Mississippi is a state institution with an enrollment in excess of 14,000 students. Click on the building and take a look.

 


Reading The DuBard School for Language Disorders at the University of Southern Mississippi brings the gift of oral and written language to individuals with severe communication disorders. Lions Clubs International strongly supports the DuBard School. Click the student to learn more.

 


WCCWilliam Carey College operates under the direction of a 24-member Board of Trustees elected by the Mississippi Baptist Convention and has an enrollment of approximately 2,000 students. Click the Icon and pay them a visit.
